Hi, I’m Coach Rich, founder of Inner Strength Athletics. After more than 25 years of teaching, coaching, and working with young athletes, I’ve seen how much confidence, focus, and resilience can impact performance — both on the field and in life.

At Inner Strength Athletics, I help young athletes build the mental muscles they need to handle pressure, bounce back from mistakes, believe in themselves, and stay focused on what they can control.

My goal is to give athletes, parents, and coaches simple, practical tools that help young people compete with confidence, overcome challenges, and grow into stronger, more resilient individuals.

With 30 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and mentor, I’ve learned how to guide young people through stressful, uncomfortable, and difficult moments — and help them turn those moments into growth. Today, I use that superpower to build Mental Performance Training programs for athletes ages 8–18.

Who is my ideal client?

I’ve been coaching for over 25 years from youth to the college level and what I have had to work with players at every level is their belief in themselves and they’re abilities.

Kids who were by far the best athlete on the team who would self sabotage themselves with made up fears and irrational self-doubt. So many times it was just a small shift in an approach to their preparation or a new Constructive self-enhancing habit to replace self-defeating habits.
